BSX Index hits record high
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index set a new all-time high on Friday as investors drove the Index up 91.742 points last week to close at 3,850.97.
The previous all-time high was 3,839.61.
Four stocks set or matched 52-week highs during the Exchange?s run-up, with BF&M leading the way as it gained $2.50 to close at a 52-week high of $18.50 as investors traded 4,562 shares.
Butterfield Bank, coming off a strong third quarter earnings announcement, gained 75 cents to close at $46 to match its 52-week high on volume of 4,680 shares and Bermuda Commercial Bank rose 50 cents to close at $9 on volume of 3,300 shares.
KeyTech also rose $1 to close at $13 ? another 52-week high ? following the launch of KeyTech subsidiary M3 Wireless Limited, formerly Mobility Limited. KeyTech investors traded 6,195 shares.
Bermuda Aviation Services ? which also released strong first half results ? was revalued at $5.95 following a vote by shareholders approving a 2.4 for 1 stock split. It is at a 52-week high.
Argus Insurance was unchanged at $27 as investors traded in 3,200 shares.
The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX this week was $497,001.25 and the overall volume of shares was 22,417.
