The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 8.29 points yesterday to close at 4,475.58.

On a light day of trading Argus made the only advance, gaining 10 cents to close at $14.25 as investors traded in 3,000 shares.

Belco fell $1.25 to close at $38.75 on volume of 265 shares and the only other activity on the Exchange saw Butterfield Bank trade in 1,800 shares to close unchanged at $57.50 and Watlington Waterworks traded in 1,700 shares to close unchanged at $12.50.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $177,548.75 and the overall volume of shares was 6,765 shares.
