The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 34.46 points on Monday to close at at 3,337.52. Butterfield Bank gained 25 cents and closed at $41.25 on the trading of 696 shares.

Investors of Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. pushed up the price of the stock $1.20 to $8.50 after trading 1800 shares.

Kentucky Fried Chicken Bermuda Ltd. gained 50 cents and closed at $6 after investors traded 1200 shares. Bermuda Container Line gained $2.45 and closed at $14.95 after investors traded 100 shares.
