The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 248.535 points last week to close at 4,900.50.

During a moderate week of trading Argus led the advances gaining 25 cents to close at $14.25 as investors traded in 4,622 shares.

Bermuda Commercial Bank rose 5 cents to close at $8.30 on volume of 148 shares, while Belco fell $14 to close at $20 on volume of 175 shares.

Butterfield Bank traded in 184,388 shares to close unchanged at $59.50, Bermuda Bank Warrants traded in 23,000 shares to close unchanged at $1.75.

West Hamilton traded in 11,058 shares to close unchanged at $55 and Watlington Waterworks traded in 2,200 shares to close unchanged at $12.50.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX last week was $11,715,145.25 and the overall volume of shares was 225,589.
