BSX slides 2.97 percent

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index slid lower yesterday as Bank stocks took a beating sending the index down 67.77 points or 2.97 percent to close at 2,215.82.
The Bank of Bermuda continued its downward spiral, loosing $1 or 3.2 percent to close at 30 on volume of 200 shares.
The Bank of Butterfield also fell, loosing 41.50 or 4.5 percent to close at $32 on volume of 11,041 shares.
Long Botham Boats also fell by five cents or 1.2 percent to close at $4 on volume of 1,500.
The only other issue to trade was KeyTech which fell $1.25 or 2.9 percent to close at $41.75 on volume of 2,000 shares.
