The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 7.19 points or 0.30 percent yesterday to close at 2,393.57. A total of 5,790 shares worth $107,370 were traded.

No shares were traded in the banking sector. In the insurance sector, 4,670 shares of Argus Insurance Co. Ltd. were traded although the share price remained unchanged at the end of the day at $21.

BF&M Ltd. gained $1 or 10 percent to close at $11 on volume of 300 shares.
