Trading of shares valued at $846,982.35 sent the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange higher by 27.84 (0.57 percent) with Butterfield Bank rising 50 cents (0.9 percent) after 5,950 shares changed hands during the day to push shares in the bank to a closing price of $57.00.

There was also a five cents improvement in KeyTech shares to $15.55 (0.3 percent up) after 10,485 shares were traded. Shares in insurance company BF&M were also active with 13,887 being traded but the closing price remained unchanged at $18.00.

There was also no change in the closing price of Argus Group ($14.00) despite 6,452 shares being traded.

The only other activity on the BSX was a small trade of 32 Belco shares. Belco?s closing price of $22.50 remained unchanged on the day.

A total of 36,806 shares were traded yesterday. The Index closed at 4,903.06.
