Forum to feature industry leaders
Three groups that scrutinise the performance and conduct of the insurance industry will take centre stage at the upcoming World Insurance Forum.
Analysts, rating agencies and regulators will be featured in a panel discussion that what will no doubt prove to be a draw with the re/insurance executives attending the biennial conference scheduled to take place from June 7 to 9 at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel.
The WIF will also hold, as in years past, its Industry Leaders? Forum, moderated by insurance veteran Michael Butt and including John Coomber, CEO of Swiss Re, Brian O?Hara, CEO and chairman of XL Capital, Michael Morrison, vice-chairman AWAC and Joe Plumeri, CEO of the Willis Group.
For the first time since the forum began ? this being the sixth WIF ? there will also be a 90-minute programme called Bermuda Market Capabilities to highlight the ?depth and breadth of Bermuda?s risk-related products?.
Operating committee chairman Robin Spencer Arscott said that the WIF had become known in insurance circles around the world for providing a platform for up-to-the-minute discussion of issues facing the sector.
The WIF, in a press statement, said it expected to attract a cross-section of participants including buyers, sellers and brokers from around the world to ?debate and shape the future of the industry?.
The forum is sponsored by Bermuda-based reinsurers, insurers and financial service companies.
