Four investment brokers get credentialed
Four local investment professionals have been granted their NASD Series 7 license.
The Bermuda Stock Exchange, which sponsored the candidates for the exam, reported that the following recently achieved the license: Lisa Wood of the Emerald Financial Group, Cueva Holder of LOM, Alan Farell of the Bank of Bermuda and Kenneth Robinson of Maximum Financial.
The BSX said the candidates successfully sat the exam on April 19 and the Exchange will hold the virtual licenses on their behalf until such time as they elect join a NASD Member firm here or in the US.
BSX spokesperson Joanne MacPhee said: "The Bermuda Stock Exchange is pleased to have been able to assist four more investment professionals in Bermuda achieve this major accreditation.
"As a regulator, the BSX is committed to ensuring that its member firms and like service providers achieve and maintain the highest possible industry standards. Our unique relationship with the NASD goes some way to making this possible."
Since the BSX began offering the exam in Bermuda in April 2000, a total of 17 investment professionals have passed the Series 7 exam locally.
Series 7 is considered a benchmark qualification for anyone seeking to work in the international investment industry.
