Troncossi Public Relations yesterday marked its fifth year in business.

Troncossi was created in September 2000 with the founder, Elizabeth Tee, as the only consultant working from a borrowed office. The company has since grown to four consultants who have serviced nearly 70 companies and organisations ranging from charities, small businesses and large international insurance companies.

Troncossi is named after the founder?s great-grandfather, Guiseppe Troncossi, originally from Ravenna in Italy. The family changed its name to ?Tee? on the advice of its lawyers when it immigrated to England in the early 1900s.

Giuseppe Troncossi, unlike the rest of the family, refused to change his name and was deported to the Isle of Man for the duration of the Second World War. Members of the Troncossi family still live in Ravenna today.

Chartered Institute of Pubic Relations deputy director Ann Mealor said: ?The fact that all Troncossi?s staff are CIPR members clearly shows their commitment to best practice and the professionalism of the PR industry.
