PR appointment

Troncossi Public Relations has announced the appointment of Natalie Grimes as a senior account executive.

Prior to moving to Bermuda, she worked as an information officer with the UK Government's press agency, the Central Office of Information, where she gained experience working with governmental departments including the Cabinet Office, the Department for Employment and Education, the Department of Social Services and the Department for Trade and Industry. Before that, she worked for a political party during their campaign for the national assembly for Wales elections. Natalie graduated from the University of Wales, Cardiff in 1997 with a BA (Hons) in journalism, film and broadcasting. She is also a member of the UK's Government Information and Communications Service.

ACE appointments

ACE Bermuda Insurance Ltd., a subsidiary of ACE Ltd., has announced the promotion of Frank Lattal to executive vice president, general counsel and secretary.

In his new role, Mr. Lattal will serve as chief legal officer for Ace Bermuda and be responsible for all legal affairs. He will also assume responsibility for managing consolidated legal and claim departments. President of ACE Bermuda Mark Herman said: "During the past three years, Frank has played a significant role in Bermuda managing our litigation and claims. I look forward to working with him in his new role providing legal support and guidance to our management as ACE Bermuda continues to prosper." Mr. Lattal joined ACE in December 1998 as senior vice president and claims counsel and was promoted in July 2000 to manage the entire ACE Bermuda claims department.

Ace Bermuda Insurance Ltd., have also announced the promotion of Roger Gillet to executive vice president. Mr. Herman said Mr. Gillet's promotion was in recognition of the contribution he has made since assuming additional responsibilities during the past year. "Roger has used his extensive experience to provide strategic direction to the human resources, training and development and Bermuda communications disciplines for the ACE Group of Companies in Bermuda," said Mr. Herman. "He also provides direct support to the business development and general strategy of ACE Bermuda. In addition, Roger has built Paget Re, our rent-a-captive facility to become a significant contributor to the success of the ACE Group of Companies."

He joined ACE Bermuda in 1997 as senior vice president, business development.
