New-look Belco bill
Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited (Belco) announced yesterday it has redesigned its bill (pictured above) for the first time since 1990.
"We hope our residential and corporate customers will find the new bills even easier to read and understand," said Marilyn Lewis of Customer Services. "We took the opportunity to improve the bills now, when we are also moving to a new computer billing system."
Along with the bills being printed on larger paper, each will show the customer's telephone number, a practise which was stopped in 1999.
The company has decided to continue with printing the numbers so that customers will be able to see what telephone number Belco has on file for them.
With the first batch of the new bills mailed on February 5, Belco is urging its customers to contact the company if there are changes to be made to the telephone numbers on file.
