North Rock Communications wireless telephone customers now have access to a range of new voicemail features through a unified messaging service.

In a Press statement, the company said the new service ? North Rock Messaging? was a ?flexible solution that combines voicemail features, e-mail, and an easy to use telephone user interface to give customers the ability to receive voicemail messages not only by phone, but also via e-mail?.

North Rock general manager Vicki Coelho said: ?Our new messaging service is just one of the advanced features we have planned for our wireless product.

?Our vision of the near future is to provide advanced telephone features, as well as Internet access at speeds that are currently unavailable, to the residential market.?

Mrs. Coelho concluded: ?There are a number of products on the horizon that will allow North Rock customers greater access and portability when it comes to their telecommunications choices. We are excited to be taking the next step towards that future.?

Although the new service will cost $5 per month, it is being offered free of charge to all new and current subscribers until June 30.
