Owner hoping to refurbish building

The building that housed the former Ice Queen on Church Street will be getting a makeover if plans are approved.

The owner of the Ice Queen restaurants, Lee White, has applied to the Planning Department to make repairs to the building that housed the former Ice Queen and is currently selling snacks for the Little Theatre. At this point Mr. White said he has not decided what will become of the old restaurant but said the space needs to be refurbished.

Mr. White said: ?The building that housed the restaurant is old and has been there for years so we are trying to modernise and update it.? The ceiling will be updated and some electrical equipment will be sold although some of it will be kept in storage, he said.

?We?ve added some electrical equipment over the years but we have been getting rid of some of the unneeded equipment.?
