Phoenix Centre to be renovated

The Phoenix Store on Reid Street will be undergoing renovations beginning next month with a grand opening set for May.

The store will remain open throughout the renovation period as the main floor of the three-storey retail space gets a facelift and an expansion of its dispensary.

The newly refurbished dispensary will have a private consultation booth, designed to offer customers a more personal, one-on-one experience.

In addition, the revamped pharmacy will provide the space needed for the Phoenix Centre to carry its new line of health-oriented products.

Once completed, shoppers will be greeted with a new storefront interior featuring a new retail design, floor layout, lighting, and overall merchandising and d?cor.

The renovation will enable the Phoenix Centre to reallocate sales space and substantially expand offerings of its major brands of household and general grocery items, including seasonal and other select products.

?We are delighted about the remodelling because it will enable us to enhance our service to our loyal customers and better meet their shopping needs,? Phoenix chief executive officer George Grundmuller said.

?We?re pleased to have this opportunity to offer our customers more choices and a larger selection of merchandise. Our goal is to create an exciting new store that will make shopping easy, convenient and fun.?

Also Stuart?s on Reid Street which has been purchased by the Phoenix Stores will be closed as of Monday.

The store will be closed for renovations for four weeks and will be reopened with a new name and store concept and plans to offer new products.
