Putnam advisor set to speak at seminar
Emerald Financial Ltd. is the latest investment company to offer free investment seminars for worried investors.
"Investment Opportunities in a New Era of Uncertainty" will feature speakers from some of the world's most prominent money management companies who will focus on giving clients and interested members of the public advice on a range of investment strategies designed to help them protect and increase the value of their portfolio and retirement savings, the company said.
The first seminar entitled "Is International investing the answer to improved investment returns?" will take place tomorrow at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel from 5.30 p.m. to 6.45 p.m. and will feature Mr. Jesse Huang, vice president of International Investing with Putnam Investments, the world's eighth largest investment management company.
Mr. Huang will analyse the near term outlook for the US stock market given the current challenges which include economic growth and investor confidence concerns and will contrast this with the case for investing or reallocation a portion of one's assets to non-US stocks.
He will also provide an overview of the case for European equities, discuss what other international markets offer the most promise to investors seeking to enhance their portfolio returns yet minimise their risks and whether investors should make allowance for geo-political risks in their investment planning.
Mr. Huang will also outline Putnam's opinion of where we are in the market cycle and whether history provides any clues as to when we can expect sustainable recovery in global stocks to begin.
President and CEO of Emerald Financial Group David Bolden said: "The challenging conditions we are now passing through makes first hand access to internationally respected money managers extremely important in order to help investors make informed decisions. Putnam's experience is second to none, we are very much looking forward to their visit and invite investors to join us on Tuesday."
