Sbi wins communication specialisation status
Systems Business Integration (Sbi) has achieved IP Communications Specialisation status.
The Cisco Systems designation recognises partners for their knowledge and expertise in selling, designing, installing, and supporting a comprehensive Cisco IP Communications solution including the design and installation of Cisco's voice and video products.
"Sbi's mission is to be the best provider of business solutions in Bermuda," said CEO Jamie Thain. "Our investment in recruiting, rewarding, and retaining highly trained and specialised staff to deliver industry leading technologies from Cisco and Microsoft to the Bermuda market will be the foundation for our continued success ensuring we bring value to our customers."
The IP Communications Specialisation allows Sbi to deploy and support a highly scalable, reliable, and available distributed multi-service solution that is based on a converged architecture in the single office, remote site, or entire enterprise. It is targeted at customers ranging from small to mid-sized businesses through enterprise-level IP Communications markets, and focuses on opportunities that require advanced product knowledge and the ability to deploy solutions over multiple sites and geographies.
"The global market is moving toward IP Telephony because of its convenience, cost reductions and its intrinsic flexibility," said Juan Segarra, general manager of Cisco Systems. "This has generated great demand for experts in the connectivity, design, implementation, and maintenance of IP Communications networks. It is therefore imperative that our partners are well-trained because they are our connection to the end client, and it is they who must keep up with technological trends as well as with our client's demands."
Sbi is the only Cisco Partner in Bermuda with the new IP Communications Specialisation. It is also the only channel partner in Bermuda with Cisco's Routing and Switching specialisation which recognises a partner's ability to successfully sell, design, install, and support the core infrastructure of the Cisco solution to small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers.
