NEW YORK (Bloomberg) ? Scottish Re Group Ltd., a Bermuda-based reinsurer, said the US Securities and Exchange Commission subpoenaed the company about trading of Scottish Re securities by Chairman Michael French and certain former directors and officers.

A US Senate panel separately subpoenaed the company about the formation of Scottish Re and certain wealth management products, the company said in a regulatory filing today. Scottish Re is cooperating with the inquiries, the filing said.
