Silent auction for Fendi 'Spy' bag
Bermuda's best dressed have the chance to get their hands on one of the world's most coveted accessories ? a Fendi 'Spy' bag (pictured) ? and help out a Bermuda charity at the same time.
Newly-opened Front Street designer store Lusso will tonight hold a silent auction for one of the Fendi handbags, at an invitation-only event to officially launch Lusso.
Lusso, which opened its doors in the summer, is owned by the TESS group of companies, which also includes Marks and Spencer, Aston and Gunn, Cecile's and Boutique CC, amongst others.
The Fendi SPY bag is so sought after that stores around the world have waiting lists, according to TESS fashion director Julia Currelly. "It's one of the most sought after designer bags on the market."
Time Magazine's 'A List' reports that Brown's of London has a Fendi 'Spy' bag wait list two pages long, fuelled possibly by sightings of such stars as Gwen Stefani, Kiera Knightly, Sarah Jessica Parker and Debra Messing with one of the Fendis in hand.
"We were thrilled to get one and in order to give all of our valued customers ? many of whom have been on our waitlists for the bag ? a chance at owning it, we felt that a silent auction was both a fair way to do this and a great opportunity to do something for a Bermuda charity" Ms Currelly said.
The proceeds from tonight's silent auction will be donated to a Bermuda charity that the winning bidder picks.
The Lusso store stocks goods from some of the best-known designers including Fendi, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Prada and Miu Miu.
