The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index closed unchanged yesterday at 3,573.18. BF&M Ltd. closed unchanged at $14 after investors traded 80 shares.

Belco Holdings Ltd. closed unchanged at $42 after investors traded 89 shares while KeyTech ? the parent company of BTC, Logic, Mobility and part owner of Cablevision and QuoVadis closed unchanged at $10.75 after investors traded 9,800 shares.

The Bermuda Insurance Index closed down 1.1 percent to 1,137.24.

Most Bermuda insurance stocks closed down on the day, with just PXRE, Willis and Annuity Re making gains.

XL Capital closed down $1.58 to $69.30 and Everest Re was down $1.11 at $95.90.

Assured Guaranty dropped 84 cents or 3.56 percent to $22.73 after releasing earnings on Thursday night, in spite of a 55 percent increase in net income for the quarter.
