Utility stocks retreat on BSX
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange last week lost 33.45 points to close at 3,175.02 for the week as three companies? share prices lsot value.
Utilities were hard hit, with Belco Holdings Ltd. dropping $1 to close at $40 on volume of 2,693 shares while KeyTech Ltd. ? the parent company of Logic, BTC and Mobility ? dropped $1.45 to $10.05 on volume of 5,315 shares.
Devonshire Industries ? the owner of Bermuda Paint ? saw 2,400 shares trade with the price down 55 cents to $11.35.
A rise in LOM (Holdings) Ltd.?s shares of 30 cents to $3.30 on volume of 20,000 shares failed to offset the decline.
Butterfield Bank saw the greatest level of trades with 23,190 shares trading at an unchanged price of $41.
Investors of BF&M traded 500 shares at an unchanged price of $13.
Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. ? the parent company of The Royal Gazette ? saw 2000 shares trade at an unchanged price of $12.50.
Trading for the week was active, with 56,158 shares worth $1.41 million changing hands.
The Bermuda Insurance Index, which tracks Bermuda-based publicly listed insurers, edged up 0.82 points to close at 1024.3.
