VistaPrint Limited has notified the US Securities and Exchange Commission of its intention for an initial public offering with underwriters Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns.

The supplier of graphic design services and customised printed products to small businesses and consumers was incorporated in Bermuda, but has its operating headquarters in Lexington.

The company has not set a timeline for the IPO but it plans use the proceeds to build out its printing facilities, expand its operations and further its acquisition strategy.

It plans to trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "VPRT."
