<Bt-3z26>AdVantage wins Creativity Award

One of the AdVantage Limited advertising campaigns that has won the Bermuda company an award from in the international Creativity Awards. This advert was used to encourage people to put their name on the registry to vote.

Advertising agency AdVantage Limited is celebrating winning in the annual Creativity Awards that cover the industry and highlight innovation and effectiveness in print, poster, radio and television advertising.

The 14-year-old company collected gold and silver awards for its print and radio campaigns in Bermuda, in direct competition with agencies from 29 other countries.

This year is the first time AdVantage, whose offices are in Reid Street, has won both gold and silver awards.

One of the company’s winning campaigns was the “Your Opinion” series of adverts that encouraged people to put their name on the parliamentary registry in order to ensure they have a vote at the election. That campign resulted in around 7,500 people registering to vote, according to the company.

The company is involved in advertising, design and corporate communications in Bermuda and for international clients, including preparing annual reports, print campaigns, marketing plans to communications strategies.

It received a gold category win for the “Ho, Ho, Ho Homeless” Salvation Army newspaper campaign and the Belco “100th anniversary” adverts, and picked up silver for the parliamentary registry campaign, for the “To Have and Hold” radio campaign for the Women’s Resource Centre and for producing a logo for Property Group. “We are very proud and honoured to be awarded gold and silver awards”, said Sheila Semos, AdVantage president.
