All quiet on BSX

The Bermuda Stock Exchange bucked the worldwide trend of slumping stock exchanges yesterday, as the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index rose 9.19 points.
to 4,995.92.
The only stock to register a price movement was utility company Belco which moved up 50 cents (2.2 percent) to $23.50 after 200 shares were traded.
Fourteen shares of KeyTech were exchanged but there was no change to the closing price of $15.55.
And in the banking sector 2,809 shares in Butterfield Bank were traded without change to the share value of $57.50.
The total volume of local shares exchanged was 3,023, representing a value of $166,420.40.
