BF&M falls from year high

BF&M Ltd. was the only mover on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday, slipping by 2.3 percent.

The insurer's share price slipped 45 cents from its 52-week high of $19.95 to finish the day on $19.50, as 5,000 of shares traded.

Butterfield Bank's share price remained unchanged at $19.10, as 17,900 of its shares changed hands.

Yesterday, the Bank announced that during October the Bank bought 219,775 shares at an average price of $19.76, which are to be held in treasury. It added that there were no shares bought back and cancelled during last month.

The Argus Group was the only other company to see trading, as 660 of the insurer's shares changed hands.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index finished down by 5.97 points at 5,000.09, a drop of 0.12 percent.
