Capital G lights up kids' lives

Capital G are set to give something back to the community thanks to the launch of its new 'Annual Holiday Giving Back' programme.

The bank's staff, customers and residents alike are being encouraged to 'give back' to the community by donating a dollar amount of their choice into the Capital G Bank 'Holiday Give Back' account.

The giving period begins today and ends on Monday December 17. Capital G will match contributions up to a capped amount and donate the funds to The Sunshine League.

Capital G president and CEO James Gibbons said: "The programme shows Capital G's commitment to giving back to the community and in particular children in need during the holiday season."

"This year's holiday initiative was specific to children, which made The Sunshine League a clear choice to be the recipient of the community's generosity. We believe in helping young deserving kids to an opportunity to live and succeed equally."

Denise Carey, executive director of The Sunshine League said: "Thank you to Capital G for thinking of us at this time of year. We are very excited about this initiative and The Sunshine League thanks the community in advance for their generosity."

The Sunshine League is a residential care facility for displaced children between eight and 16-years-old, which aims to help children develop good life skills and values they can use in their life.

Donations can be made at the Capital G Bank branch at 19 Reid Street or online at www.capgonline.com and all donations must be received by 5.30pm on Monday December 17.
