CD&P sign up talented trio of Johnson, Sussman and Moss
Top Bermuda law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman has appointed two new lawyers to its ranks and welcomed another back into the fold.
Nicholas Johnson returns to the firm in the Bermuda office as a senior attorney in the trust and private client department. He originally joined the firm in 1991, becoming a partner in 1996, and resigned from the partnership in 2002 to return to university to complete a Masters in Divinity.
Mr. Johnson graduated from the University of London, England, he was admitted as a barrister in England and Wales in 1984 and in Bermuda in 1991. He is also a member of the Inner Temple, London and the Bermuda Bar Association, and is a Commissioner for Oaths.
Also on the trust side, David Sussman has joined as the head of CD&P's affiliated Codan Trust Company Ltd.
Mr. Sussman has over 19 years' experience in the international financial services arena. He has lived and worked in five countries and has played a significant role in the development and execution of strategy at several of the world's premiere banks and trust companies.
A qualified lawyer in Ontario, Canada and Bermuda, Mr. Sussman has served as general counsel to Wood Gundy Inc., one of Canada's largest investment banks and to Bank of Bermuda Ltd. He has subsequently held senior management roles with Coutts, UBS and Franklin Templeton.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
Henry Moss joins as an associate, also in the trust and private client department in Bermuda. He joins CD&P after six years with Withers LLP in London where he was a member of the international trusts team within the wealth planning group.
Mr. Moss graduated from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland in 1999 before obtaining his LLB in 2001 from the College of Law, London. He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2003.
