Crewmembers from a 20-foot open boat and a 23-foot cabin cruiser both contacted Harbour Radio last week to say they were dead in the water off Coney Island, St. George's.
The Harbour Radio spokesman said: "This is perhaps an opportune time to remind the boating public that, after boats have been laid up for the winter, they should check both mechanical and safety equipment.''
