BSX WEEKLY UPDATE: Booming week for exchange
of Bermuda gained $4.50 in price, or about 14 percent, on a volume of 47,258 to close at an all time high of $35.50.
The bank's warrants gained $1.13, or 16 percent to close at $8. Bank of Butterfield gained $2, or 13 percent to close at $18 on a volume of 43,174 shares.
Bermuda Commercial Bank finished the week at $5.50, a gain of 50 cents. Out of 12 stocks traded on the exchange, Staples Holdings preferred was the only loser, falling 25 cents to close at $7.75.
Corporation of Hamilton US$ bond issue gained 50 cents to $105, while the Bermuda Hospital US$ bond gained $1.50 to $105.
The stock exchange index gained 141.90 points, a nine percent rise, to finish at 1,600.92 on a volume of 111,928 shares valued at about $2.45 million, and bonds worth $31,500.
