Teleport in Devonshire, has recently returned to Bermuda after a year of study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Mr. Dill took part in the Alfred P. Sloan Fellows' Programme and obtained a Master of Science in management degree. He is a former student at Bermuda Technical Institute and has been with Cable and Wireless for 21 years.
Two senior post office staff members have just returned from a three-week International Postal Course at the William F. Bolger Management Training Academy in Maryland.
Mrs. Diane Roberts , Assistant Postmaster General, accounts; and Mr. Michael Watson , Assistant Supervisor, Airport Mail Facility, took part in classes covering a range of areas relating to international operations and terminal dues. Lecturers were drawn from several industries, including a representative from a major airline.
Course participants had the opportunity to visit the Washington Bulk Mail Centre, Dulles Airport Airmail Facility and the United States Postal Service Headquarters.
Mrs. Roberts and Mr. Watson are the first of several post office staff who will be taking courses as a result of a special offer from the William F.
Bolger Academy to train Bermudian postal staff at no extra cost. Later this year, two more staff will be identified to take the training.
