The Bank of Butterfield has named Mr. Colin L. Furr as its new general manager of banking.
Mr. Furr takes over from Mr. Michael Collier who is himself being promoted to chief general manager to replace Mr. W. Scott McDonald.
Mr. McDonald, whose five-year contract has expired, will shortly leave for London, where he will act as a consultant to the Bank's UK office.
All changes are effective Monday.

Mr. Furr, a Bermudian, joined the Bank in 1971. Three years later, he became a banking officer in the treasury department and was promoted several times until he reached his present position of deputy general manager of retail banking.
In May of this year, Mr. Furr was appointed president/chairman of the Bermuda branch of The Chartered Institute of Bankers.
