The new credit card, a MasterCard gold card, also offers worldwide acceptance, instant cash advances at MasterCard/Cirrus branded ATMs, a counterfeit/loss card protection plan, an annual activity summary and immediate access to Bank of Butterfield's CardLine service.

Gold card holders are also automatically part of travel assistance programmes, the bank said.
