Typeface (Font): Refers to the size and design of a complete set of letters, numbers and punctuation marks.
Leading: measured in points, leading represents the distance between each separate line of type.
PICAS: Picas, like points, are used as a simplified printer's measurement system and for typesetting. One pica equals 1/6th inch. There are 6 picas in an inch.
CAMERA-READY ART: Final graphics (including copy) that are flawless, converted to black and white and ready for photography.
FPR (For Position Only): Used on a layout to indicate size and position of missing elements such as a logo or photograph to be supplied later in the design process. Often used to preliminary proofs to save costs.
LAYOUT: Drawing, sketch or laser proof of a speculative product to be printed.
Layouts indicate the size and position of various elements.
MOCK-UP (Dummy): A handmade sample commonly used with a folded product like a brochure to aid in visualising the design and finished layout.
