Dressage champion ACEs corporate horse cents
equestrian, Joanna Jackson.
Assistance by ACE London at Lloyd's, part of the ACE group of Companies, will enable the one-armed champion horsewoman to continue her training for the Sydney Paralympics 2000.
ACE London is sponsoring the champion dressage rider and making a donation to the international dressage activities of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA).
Ms Jackson, a triple-gold medallist in individual and team dressage at the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta, was last year voted Variety Club Sportswoman of the Year.
But she ran into difficulties when her recently purchased uninsured horse died suddenly. ACE London bought her a new horse "ACE Doonsquire Express''.
The company has bloodstock and homeowners/property policy placed through ACE syndicates 484 and 122, via leading equestrian insurance brokerage, British Equestrian Insurance Brokers (BEIB).
ACE London marketing director, Rob Page, said, "We have been involved in bloodstock and homeowners/property insurance for a long time and it is a pleasure to be able to support such a talented dressage rider and a worthy organisation.
"Everyone who purchases insurance from ACE London at Lloyd's syndicates will be contributing to international dressage activities of the Riding for the Disabled Association and encouraging development of talented riders like Jo.'' BEIB will place the policies with ACE syndicates and refund part of its commission to create an income stream for the RDA.
Ms Jackson won her section in her first competitive event on ACE Doonsquire Express April 6 at Ditchling, and qualified for the Strongid-P British Dressage National Championships.
WINNING TEAM -- Jo Jackson and ACE Doonsquire Express are on line for the Sydney, Paralympics 2000, thanks to backing from ACE Ltd.
