Free pizza!
of its fifth anniversary.
Beginning today at its Angle Street store -- the first to open on the Island in November, 1990 -- pizzas and sodas will be given away to the first 125 customers who walk through the door at 5.15 p.m.
The same will take place at the Flatt's store on Tuesday, the Somerset store on Wednesday and at the Warwick store on Thursday.
Four Star Pizza president and general manager Mr. Marico Thomas explained that the giveaways will take place in the order in which the stores opened.
The giveaway, he added, was the company's way of thanking the public for its support over the last five years.
"We focus our business a lot around the family,'' Mr. Thomas said. "And we thought what's a nice way to thank the public while allowing the whole family to participate.'' He noted that the free pizzas -- pepperoni with cheese or just cheese -- will be made right in front of the customers.
In addition to free pizzas and Cokes, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony -- which was never held -- at the Warwick store.
There will also be a jingle-writing and pizza-eating contest, and judging of children's entries in Four Star's pizza design and colouring contest.
Financial donations will be made to the school of the winning entry.
Cake, karaoke, and store tours will also be available.
