They were some of the changes revealed on Wednesday, when Government gazetted the makeup of more than 80 boards and commissions.

David Hamshere, head of the English Sports Shop group of clothes stores, is the new chair of the Tourism Board. He takes over from Alan Richardson, a senior executive at the Bank of Bermuda.

Meanwhile, longtime Broadcast Commissioner Louise Jackson has been replaced with former Bermuda Regiment commanding officer Brendan Hollis at the helm.

In other changes, the Bermuda College has a new chairman in Brian Hall, who recently retired as chairman of Johnson & Higgins (Bermuda) Ltd., an insurance broker and captive management company.

Deputy chairman and lawyer Kim White, whose possible appointment as chairman met with opposition from some College staff, has left the board, as has former chairman Dr. James King, who recently became chairman of the Bank of Butterfield.

And the Small Business Development Corporation has a new chairman in Sheilagh Robertson, the owner of the Harbourmaster chain of luggage shops. She takes over from accountant Craig Christensen.
