HWP gears up to expand -- Car accessory store to open
public in Pembroke.
Autoworx, a new business owned by garage giants HWP, will sell a range of auto accessories and window tinting.
"The formation of Autoworx allows HWP Group to provide a much wider range of products and better service,'' said Jonathan Brewin, President and Chief Executive Officer of the HWP group.
The shop, which is on St. John's Road where the old Daihatsu and Subaru showrooms used to be, will stock alloy wheels, exhaust systems, spoilers, body kits, suspension systems, car care products and merchandising.
The window tinting offered will fall within the required limits set by the Transport Control Department (TCD).
The shop will open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be managed on a day-to-day basis by Stuart Old, formerly of Island Detail.
He said: "We believe that by providing accessories and window tinting from one convenient location that we are meeting the needs of the Bermudian car owner who is looking to individualise their car.'' Tony Martin, vice president of Automotive sales at HWP, will jointly operate the business with Mr. Old.
