The American Airlines 757 plane was flying from New York's JFK airport to Caracas in Venezuela.
It diverted to Bermuda after being hit by hydraulic problems.
Director of Civil Aviation Mr. Jim Pitman said the jet, flight no. 939, landed safely at about 1 p.m.
"It made a normal landing. Never at any time was it in danger.'' Mechanics looked over the plane, and American Airlines sent out another aircraft last night to allow the passengers to continue their flight.
