KFC stock plunges on Bermuda Stock Exchange: WEEKLY UPSDATE
Exchange index rose 13.56 points to 920.93.
Highlighting the week was an increase in Telco's share price and a sharp fall in KFC (Bermuda).
After Telco approved a special dividend to bolster its share price, the utility's stock rose $7.875 but about half that gain was later erased. Telco ended up $3.75 at $34.25 on volume of 5,384.
Despite the recently announced KFC (Bermuda) reorganisation, which included new directors and a rights issue to cover debts and obligations, KFC (Bermuda) plummeted $9.75 closing at $4.50 on volume of 5,000.
In other trading, Belco and Bank of Bermuda both gained 25 cents closing at $19.25 and $17 respectively.
Bank of Butterfield, Bermuda Home, Argus, BF&M preferred and TeleBermuda were unchanged.
