KPMG staff put their feet down for charity!
with a four mile charity walk recently.
A spokesperson for the company estimated that over $3,000 was raised by the effort.
Eighty staff members set out from Barr's Bay Park on Pitts Bay Road at 3 p.m.
last Friday afternoon for the trek to Store Hill in Devonshire.
The sponsored walk was the first event of KPMG's 50th anniversary celebrations and staff voted to donate the funds to P.A.L.S. and the Bermuda TB Cancer & Health Association. Managing partner Bob Steinhoff commented: "I am very proud that out staff decided to recognise this important occasion by raising funds for two worthy charities. We have always been supportive of the community.'' The company also raised some funds by allowing staff, who paid $5, to dress casually on Friday. Other celebratory events planned include a cocktail party at Commissioners House and the opening of its new building, Crown House, in the fall.
