denying that the Bermuda Stock Exchange has virtualy ground to a halt over the last few days. Just two trades took place yesterday, both in the banking sector.

Bank of Butterfield stock went up by $2 to close at $30 on volume of 1,630 and Bermuda Commercial Bank remained unchanged at $10 on volume of 1,000.

The Exchange Index increased by 4.98 points to end to the day at 1,171.97.
