Logic offers new service
Logic Communications offering free Internet bundled with its LogicPhone service.
The Island's third long distance carrier, Logic is offering LogicPhone customers 250 minutes at .30 cents a minute telephone service to the US, Canada and the UK with the first ten hours of Internet access free.
Neil Speight, president of Logic, hailed the new service and thanked Telecommunications Minister Renee Webb for her call for the Internet to be made available to everyone.
"Ever since our long-distance service was approved we have seen traditional carriers suddenly drop their rates after years of inflated prices,'' Mr.
Speight said.
"LogicPhone rates have been and will always be competitive,'' he added.
"Credit for free Internet now becoming a reality resides with the Minister, Renee Webb. She has called for the industry to make Internet accessible to everyone.
"Today, Logic has made that happen. Bermuda will continue to benefit from new technologies that give business and consumers cost effective ways to communicate...Logic will continue to be the market leader.'' The five LogicPhone and Free Internet packages start with the Basic 250 of ten hours free Internet and 250 minutes of long distance for $74.95.
For $156.95 customers can get the Professional 250 with the first ten of 60 Internet hours free.
