Sawicki as underwriting vice presidents.

Mr. Axelsen joins Starr Excess as a marine specialist. He was previously in the UK for 16 years, mainly with the offshore, resources, energy and marine companies of the Sedgwick Group. He holds a B.A. degree in modern economic history from London University.

Mr. Sawicki also has 27 years of underwriting experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Starr Excess he was with the Hartford Insurance Group. His experience also includes 10 years at Aetna. He holds a B.S. in business administration from Salem State College, M.A.

Bermuda-based Starr offers excess general liability, directors and officers liability and professional liability insurance.
