the following appointments: Jonathan Heckscher , money market manger, is manager of the LOM Money Market Funds and is responsible for discretionary fixed income management. He is also a member of the LOM Group's Investment Policy Committee. Prior to joining the LOM Group, Mr. Heckscher was in charge of cash management at STW Fixed Income Management in Bermuda. He gained experience while working in the Trust Department of the The Mellon Trust Company, in Boston.

Keith Dicker , CFA, portfolio manager, is manager of the LOM Target Funds and is responsible for discretionary investment management and investment research. He is a member of the LOM Group's Investment Policy Committee. Prior to joining the LOM Group, Mr. Dicker was a discretionary investment manager for high net worth clients at Royal Bank of Canada. Mr. Dicker has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research.

Iraj Pouyandeh , manager, Research & Strategy, is responsible for forecasting and analysing financial market conditions as well as monitoring global economic developments and advising on asset allocation strategies. Prior to joining the LOM Group, Mr. Pouyandeh worked in corporate investments at Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada in Toronto advising on economic and financial outlook and strategy. He also gained experience while working for the Ontario Ministry of Finance where he held the position of research officer and senior economist.

Scott Gardner , analyst, will be responsible for mutual fund selection, recommendation, research and performance analysis for LOM Target Funds. Prior to joining the LOM Group, Mr. Gardner was employed by the Bank of Montreal and Midland Walwyn in Canada. Mr. Gardner holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance from the University of Manitoba and is a CFA level 1 candidate.

*** Schroders plc has announced three new appointments to the company's Bermuda operations: New jobs, new challenges Manilia Ritz has recently joined the Private Equity team and is specialising in fund management of European funds. Ms Ritz is a Chartered Accountant and joins Schroders from PricewaterhouseCoopers and brings to Schorders four years of audit and related experience.

Katherine Bryan also joined the Private Equity team as a trainee corporate administrator. Ms Bryan will graduate from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia at the October convocation.

Lana Young recently joined the Group Finance department and is specialising in management reporting. Ms Young is a chartered accountant and joins Schroders from Arthur Morris & Co. and brings five years of audit and related experience.
