New online guide to help vacationers
Keyguide.com's president Simon Watkinson said his service, "Bermuda Vacation Guide'' was prepared for the competitive Internet arena.
"We have a co-marketing alliance with Keyguide Publications which prints handy maps called `Key to Attractions' and `Key to the City'. These maps are free and are found at most visitor locations Island-wide,'' said Mr.
Watkinson.
Keyguide produces some 200,000 maps a year, explained Mr. Watkinson. And map references throughout the virtual guide directly correlate with printed versions.
"Through this alliance we are able to assist vacationers to pre-plan via the website and make the most enjoyable use of their time on the Island,'' said Mr. Watkinson.
The guide, which boasts 2,600 links to travel-related sites, also allows users to "post messages, ask questions and generally interact in near real time'' via a live "Bermuda Forum''.
"The site will deliver comprehensive, accurate and timely information on all aspects of Bermuda tourism and is designed to attract potential visitors to Bermuda from all over the world,'' said Mr. Watkinson.
