"We weren't looking for another location but the space became available.

The additional store in Washington Mall will be good for Sail On. It will expose our products more. It's surprising how many local shoppers are not really aware of the store in the Old Cellar,'' Sail On owner Mr. Hugh Watlington said.

"The new shop store has windows, we've never had windows before,'' he said.

The store was open for business on Saturday.

The front window display includes the stern of a dinghy from Windjammer Yachts while the rear of the store is graced with the bow of another boat.

The store's merchandise varies from belts and books to dresses and jackets as well as stuffed animals, T-shirts, sunglasses and jewellery.

"There's even a West Indian hangover cure for sale from a company called Sunny Caribee,'' Mr. Watlington added.

Sail On employs six people and does not expect to hire additional staff to operate the new location. The original business, located in the Old Cellar, opened 10 years ago.

The second Sail On is located on the Reid Street side of the mall where the Tie Deck store used to be.

MORE SAILING ON -- Sail On owner Mr. Hugh Watlington, with members of the "Sail On team'', (from left) Mrs. Penny Watlington, Ms Suzan Sickling, and Ms Lisa Bet Outerbridge, on Saturday opened a second store outlet in the Washington Mall. The first Sail On, located in the Old Cellar lane, will continue to operate.
