Serco Aviation have two contracts with the airport -- for air operations and maintenance.
And Serco officials are to sit down with Airport executives to discuss extending their maintenance contract, which expires in August, for one more year.
The air operations contract, which includes ground electronics, air traffic control, crash-fire-rescue and the meteorological office, will be unaffected by the talks.
Jack Gordon, General Manager of Airport Operations, said: "There is an `option year' on the contract and that is why we will be entering into discussions.''
