Company Ltd., announced the appointment of a new president of its Bermuda operations.

Bermudian chartered accountant Mr. Gary Sousa, now the vice president and treasurer, will take over from Mr. Hume Rochfort on June 1.

Mr. Rochfort, who has served Alcan for 32 years in a number of locations, plans to retire on August 31.

Mr. Sousa will continue as treasurer of the companies while Mr. Rochfort said he will remain a director until he retires.

Champlain, located in Victoria Hall, was incorporated in 1975 and is owned by Alcan Aluminium Ltd., a Montreal company.

Champlain provides worldwide insurance and reinsurance to the Alcan Aluminium Ltd. group of companies.
