Spotlight on Montreal seminars
excess liability carriers, are hosting client meetings in Montreal next week.
Vice president, marketing, David Holmes, said that it affords an opportunity for the Marsh & McLennan network in North America to invite their clients to the organised seminars over three days.
Over 80 people will meet at Montreal's Hotel Vogue, including about 20 people from ACE Insurance, XL Insurance and Starr Excess and the local broking office.
The clients are Fortune 500 companies, whose executives attend the annual gathering to learn more about the types of coverages provided by the Bermuda companies. Many are already existing clients.
Mr. Holmes said, "People will be coming from as far away as Norway, but mostly from the US east coast, with some west coast clients.
"This is for the excess liability, property and the professional lines, that include D&O, E&O, the new employment practices liability product put out by XL. There will also be discussion on financial lines insurance offered by ACE and XL.
"The three major carriers will be hosting seminars and meeting privately with clients as well.'' ACE is first up, making a presentation on Monday, followed by XL on Tuesday and Starr Excess on Wednesday. The event is hosted by Marsh & McLennan Global Broking, together with three insurers.
Mr. Holmes said, "Hosting a seminar like this provides for more opportunities of cross-selling. It allows clients to learn more about other coverages that they can purchase in Bermuda.
"It also gives the clients time to learn more about the product they are purchasing and hear more from us about those coverages. It also gives them a chance to be with the underwriters, that develops and strengthens the relationship.'' David Holmes BUSINESS BUC
