Around 25 experts will meet at the Bermuda Biological Station to assess how bad the problem is worldwide. The conference, which ends on Friday, is the first time the scientists have met to compare notes.

Around 25 experts will meet at the Bermuda Biological Station to assess how bad the problem is worldwide. The conference, which ends on Friday, is the first time the scientists have met to compare notes.
Countries represented include the US, the former Soviet Union, Iran, Sweden, Norway, France, Japan, Australia, Venezuela and Canada.
Results collected from sites worldwide would be analysed and compared, Canadian scientist Dr. Douglas Whelpdale said.
